Starting May 27 the lobby of Aulario III will host an exhibition of drawings made by students from the UA Permanent University (UPUA), based on interpretations of Pep Azorin’s famous sculpture, Dibuixar l’espai.

The works of the 23 participants form a mural-collage entitled Pintat a Mà (Hand-painted). The exhibition will open tomorrow at 19.30h, in the presence of the UPUA headmistress Concha Bru, of the professor in charge of the workshop and of the students themselves.

The exhibition is the end result of the Expresión Gráfica Artística: Dibujo Workshop, taught during this academic year by professor Javier Esclapés from the Department of Graphical Expression and Cartography. Its objective has been to familiarize the students with the basic notions in the field of drawing, as well as to enable them to use and analyse the different tools and materials. The students have tried their hand at the various graphic and plastic art techniques and have succeeded in learning various systems of representation and to produce a final project.

The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the UA Secretariat for Culture, is open until July15.
