The writer, actor and stage director Pasqual Alapont (Catarroja, 1963) is the next guest of the "Escriure el País" cycle, in a session scheduled for October 30, at 20.15h and hosted by the University Venue in Alicante. Alapont, whose works are directed especially at children and young adults, has received numerous awards, among which: Premio Enric Valor de narrativa juvenile (Picanya, 1984) for Mitjacua i la sargantana del mar, Premi Ciutat d'Alzira-Bancaixa (1999) for Menjaré bollycaos per tu and Premi Joanot Martorell (Gandía, 2002), for Tota d’un glop.

As a playwright, Alapont has premiered around a dozen plays, such as Tres tristos traumes; Alícia; Beatrius, and Els viatges de Marco Polo. He has also published over thirty books belonging to various genres - short-stories for children and young adults, novels and plays-, among which No sigues bajoca; Estàs com una moto!; Me'n vaig de casa and Cagadets de por.

Given the positive feedback that it has enjoyed, this cycle continues to provide the audience with the occasion of meeting various writers born or residing in the area, whose literary creations project a certain image of the Valencian Community. The following guests will be Gemma Pascual (on November 20) and Pepa Guardiola (on December 18).

Free entrance limited to hall capacity.
