On October 22 at 12.00h, the members of Teatro Clásico Universitario, directed by Andrés Vinaches, will perform a new version of Plautus's classical play, a very special "Pseudolus", tuned to cabaret music. Music, live songs and a lot of humour are the basic ingredients of this pleasant and absurd situational comedy, overflowing with characters.

This play, the group's sixth montage, was premiered on May 21, as part of the Paranimf Festiu activities. It is also the first Latin comedy to be staged by the group, whose previous performances included only Greek plays.

A young man called Callidorus is in love with a prostitute – Phoenicium, who is exploited by her pimp, Ballio. The latter promises to sell her to a Macedonian soldier whose servant (Harpax), is supposed to hand Ballio the money. Pseudolus is forced to intervene for his friend, and he weaves a complicated plot which includes even Callidorus’s father, Simo.

Invitations available at Sala Aifos.
