PERSPECTIVES CONCERNING FETISH

'Fetish' is the title of the exhibition opening at the sala Aifos of the UA on next 28 January,
at 20.30 hours, which includes photography, painting, drawing, digital illustration, illustrated texts and
collage, with different views on the fetish issue. Organised by the collectives Mystery Web Magazine and
Santa Leonor, the exhibition will start with a perfomance poetry by Miriam Reyes which, according to one of the coordinators,
Alejandro Tevar, 'is an artist living in Barcelona who reads poetry together with video screenings made by herself,
with a very personal way of reciting her poems'. She says that the exhibition 'includes unseen works to be exhibited in their majority,
as well as a cartoon short'.

The idea of the exhibition came up in 2007, when a set of people known as Grupo Anónimo de Gente
expressed 'their thrill to achieve three objectives: give a huge number of meanings to the definition of fetishism,
publish the ideas they came up with and go to the University with no academic purposes'. Through the fanzine 'Fetiche' they
managed to put the second objective into practice, by publishing their artistic interests in colaboración with authors like
Paco Mir, Forges, Lucía Echevarría and Maruja Torres. These creations about fetish can now be visited on the campus of the UA.

The exhibition will be open until 26 February. Free admission.
