From November 23 to December 17, the Sala Trànsit II will receive the exhibition Cambio climático y empobrecimiento (Climate change and impoverishment), organised by the Non Governmental Organisation for Development Entrepobles, together with the collaboration of the Secretariat for Culture. According to the exhibition coordinator, Marisa López, "the exhibition tries to show in ten panels the consequences of the climate change in the poor countries and it also tries to promote the social debate about the causes and possible solutions from the analysis, the denunciation, the social participation and the people's solidarity.

The climate change is bringing worldwide natural disasters. "The rich countries are the main cause of the problem and the poor countries are the affected ones, who have less resources for their recovery and who suffer the consequences and new threats that the developed countries in the Northern Hemisphere suggest as 'solutions'", the organisers explain. This exhibition tries to analyse the different strategies developed by the Northern countries: clean development mechanisms, biofuels, hydroelectric projects, etc., which are provoking the privatisation and commercialisation of the natural resources, creating serious negative impacts on the earth and on the life of millions of people in the poor countries.

Entrepueblos ( is an Association for Development Aid that works from a solidarity perspective with the poor and exploited countries of the, as they call it, Third World or Southern Countries.
