The photographer Cristina de Middel went to the opening ceremony of her exhibition "Vida y Milagros de Paula P." (Life and miracles of Paula P.) with the woman of the photos, Paula, a Chilean who maintains to be glad "to appear in the leisure and culture sections and not in the classifieds". The ceremony took place at the MUA. Many people attended it, among them, the majority of the Alicante graphic press, journalists, academic authorities and a hundred or so students of Social Work. It was chaired by the Director of the Secretariat for Extracurricular Activities, Josefina Bueno, who said to be proud for housing an exhibition about prostitution at a museum and she also showed her happiness for having as a guests some of the protagonists.

The journalist and writer Ángeles Cáceres, in charge of introducing the work and its author, maintained it was "an atypical exhibition about the atypical and difficult everyday existence of a woman (or of any woman, which is the same)" and explained that "what you are going to see here is not just photos, but bits of meat and soul".

The exhibition is part of the events organized by the University of Alicante to commemorate the International Day against Domestic Violence. It will be at the Museum of the University of Alicante until the end of January. The entrance is free.
