TRIBUTE TO OUR ORAL, HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE

"To pay a tribute to the memory of our cultural Heritage, to the oral memory of our history and our culture". Antonio González Beltrán, director of the Festival de la Oralidad and of the company La Carátula, defines with these words the purpose of this activity, where the oral account is the main character. The festival will take place next 5th and 6th of March, from 20.00, in the Venue Ciudad de Alicante.

This festival, which is being made in different stages of the Valencian Community, will have in Alicante the attendance of several narrators coming from Latin American countries. The Colombian Hanna Cuenca and the Argentinean Hebe Rosell will act on the 5th of March, and the Venezuelan Ana Torrellas and the Mexican Jermán Argueta, who will bring some tales from their respective places of birth, will act on the 6th of March.

For the celebration of the Festival de la Oralidad 2010 "we have taken into account the presence of direct protagonists of the ending of our civil war in the port of Alicante, or the testimony of those generous International brigades who came to help the Spanish Republic in its fight against fascism, or that of the Spanish republicans, not less generous, who arrived to Paris with the Allies", González says.

The attendance to the festival is free and limited to the capacity of the room.
