Those women devoted their lives to the science and, in many cases, they were pioneers of the family reconciliation when the term was not even coined. However, apart from the French Nobel Prize, Marie Curie, they are all invisible women scientists, forgotten by the history, excluded from the handbooks, despised by many colleges. The Museum of the University of Alicante opens the exhibition "Científicas Invisibles" (Invisible women scientists) next March 8. It is an idea originated by the University Jaume I of Castellón and organized in association with the Network of Valencian Universities for the promotion of Research, Development and Innovation (RUVID), which the University of Alicante is part of.

It consists of 17 panels, which show several women scientists that have stood out in different fields of knowledge, from Medicine or Psychology to Chemistry or Astrophysics. The exhibition includes the showing "Científicas ahora" (Scientists now), in which there will be photos, data and testimonies of some of the most important Valencian women scientists at present. Among the scientists that appear in the exhibition, it is worth mentioning the scientist Carmen Nájera Domingo, director of the Department of Organic Chemistry of the University of Alicante.

The opening ceremony will take place at the Sala Altamira at noon and it will count on the participation of the University President, Ignacio Jiménez Raneda, and the manager of Ruvid, Pilar Durá. Moreover, different members of the government team, members of the Women's Studies Center and the director of the MUA will also attend it.

"Científicas Invisibles" will be open until April 17. The entry is free, but attendance is limited due to room capacity.
