The Batà band will present its first album, "Cançons de butxaca", in acoustic format. It is "a new proposal full of originality, emotions and simplicity which is based in singer-songwriting but goes further, with a personal poetry and a careful staging", Carles Llinares, a member of the band assures. The concert will take place on the 27th of April at 20.00 in the Auditorium (Paraninfo) of the UA.

The Batà band, native to Alcoi, "given that batà is an ancient machinery from the textile industry and we wanted a name that referred to our origins", is a trio composed by the ex member of Verdcel Carles Llinares (voice and guitar), Rebeca Sanjuán (voice and minor percussion) and Carles Tur (violin). They compose basing in the singer-songwriting "with arrangements of Mediterranean folk" Llinares explains.

Nowadays, the group is making a tour in the Valencian Community for the presentation of its first album. It is composed by ten own songs where a "special importance to lyrics" is given, the musician says.
