The Korean Guitarist Jusuk Lee, The Nights in the Field

On 22 July at 2130 hours, the young Korean guitarist Jusuk Lee, winner of the VIII International Guitar Competition José Tomás-Vila Petrer a concert held at the headquarters city of Alicante in the program Les Nits de la Seu . The repertoire will consist of parts of A. Tárrega, A. Piazzola, C. Domeniconi, L. Brouwer and Manuel M. Ponce, among others.

Jusuk Lee was born in 1983 in South Korea. In early vocation, he began playing the piano when he was five years old and studying guitar at ten. He graduated in 2002 at the School of Art Kewon, and in 2006 at the University of Arts of Korea Chang's teacher. He is currently pursuing higher studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, under the tutelage of Gabriel Estarellas.

He has been awarded the following prizes: First Prize in National Competition Baroque Music (Korea, 2005) International Competition of the Guitar Association of Korea (2005) International Competition County District (Jaén, 2008) International Competition of Celedonio Romero (Malaga, 2008), International Competition Egües Valley (Navarra, 2008) and Second Special Award and Infanta Cristina Guerrero Foundation (Madrid, 2009). He has given several concerts in Korea, China, Spain, Changwon, Gangju, POÄNG Gloria, among other places.
