Since Monday the 10th of January it is open the registration term for workshops and courses of the Culture Secretariat of the UA for the second semester of the academic year 2010-2011.

As in the previous semester there are available for all students many educational workshops concerning subjects such as public speaking, writing, theatre, music, cinema, dance, visual arts and journalism. There are a total of 26 workshops aimed at both the university community and the general public.

Those interested in completing their education with these courses will be able to register for the theatre subjects such as the Theatre Research Laboratory: "creating from madness" (Laboratorio de Investigación Teatral: "crear desde la locura") which is a part of the European project "Terra Incognita" in which the UA is one of the collaborators; for courses designed to foster the literary creativity, as the one conducted by the journalist and writer Mariano Sánchez Soler about Thrillers (Novela negra. Conocer y trabajar las claves del género); or speaking and spreading programs such as the Oral Communication (Comunicación oral) and the Production and Management of Cultural Events (Produccción y gestión de actos culturales. Cómo crear y vender un espectáculo).

Music will be present with the second edition of On-line flamenco (Flamenco en red), an introductory course based on broadcasts and conferences on the Internet. It is also available the course Rockumental (Rockumental), an approach to the genre of a documentary of rock music, for the fans and professionals interested in developing specific projects.

In the journalism field there are two new workshops that will offer the keys to conduct a news program (Taller de television: ¿Cómo elaborar un informativo?), coordinated by Ana Antolín, and the production of radio contents (Taller de Radio: Producción de contenidos en el ámbito local), by Gabriel Martínez.

On the area of the plastic arts, there is the course Children and youth illustration: creating an image from a text (Ilustración infantil y juvenil: crear una imagen a partir de un texto), directed by Fernando Ariel, which will provide the necessary tools to creatively address the relationship between the image and the text, and develop the creative ability through the plastic language.

Likewise, those interested will be able to register for workshops such as Cinema in its Original Language (Cine en version original), Digital photography workshop (Taller de fotografía digital), Advertising writing on the Internet (Redacción publicitaria en internet), among many others.

The registration

Free election credits
The UA will issue to students who pass the courses their relevant certificates, with the details of the equivalent hours. The Culture Secretariat will determine the final assessment system for each of the workshops to obtain the certificate. If the number of students enrolled in the courses and workshops did not exceed the established minimum, the Culture Secretariat could decide not to hold them.
