THE KOREAN ARTIST CHO SANG-HYUN EXHIBITS AT THE UA

The Culture Secretariat of the University of Alicante, with the Centre Ovidi Montllor, offers in the Hall a display of paintings and monotypes by the Korean artist Cho Sang-Hyun, which will be open until the 31st of January.

The works by Sang-Hyun, born in Gangneung (Sourth Korea) in 1952 and who currently works as a professor at the Hanseo University, shows a meditation through the pictorial lyricism. As an artist, painter, draftsman, printmaker and poet, Sang-Hyun uses "blankism", a concept developed by himself that refers to the unexpressionism, to the idea of completely unsheathing the art to approach realism from simplicity to achieve the essence of the moments he portrays.

According to those responsible of the exhibition "his paintings are windows through which fragments of a reality intimately felt by the artist from a spiritualized and full of wisdom gaze".

The timetable of the Hall is from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm and from Monday to Thursday from 4 to 7 pm. The admission is free.
