The “Register in Languages” campaign is born as a part of the University of Alicante’s strong commitment towards a multilingual campus. Thanks to this initiative, students will have the opportunity to register in more than 200 subjects in English, 122 in French and 431 in Valencian, besides the usual classes in Spanish.

Students who are interested in taking courses in languages other than Spanish can get further information at their Faculty’s Secretariat and and at the Languages and Culture Service website.

The aim of this initiative is to foster international student mobility and to encourage students to get their language skills accredited. To that end, the university has made a great effort to increase the offer of subjects taught in foreign languages. The most significant increase with respect to last year’s campaign is for subjects taught in English.

As part of the new requirements set by the UA for obtaining a degree, students must prove that they have at least a B1 level in a foreign language. Those who have not already obtained such a certificate by means of an official exam can get their language skills accredited by taking some subjects in a foreign language.

This new possibility is a clear asset for students, for it gives them the opportunity to improve their written and spoken language skills while studying the subjects included in the degree they are taking.
