WORLD AND VARIETIES OF FLAMENCO, IN ALICANTE

Next 14 October the course ‘World and varieties of Flamenco: The memory that unites us’ begins at the Alicante City Venue. It is a series of conferences on flamenco music dedicated to the late professor Bernícolaun, driving force of this initiative.

‘World and varieties of Flamenco’ wishes to offer an introduction to the world of flamenco, its origins, history, varieties, development and the contents on which it is inspired and represents, through diverse variations of singing and lyrics, dance and guitar work. In this edition, experts on flamenco will analyse it thoroughly from an audiovisual point of view.

On top of this, from 14 to 18 November, the premises will also showcase the exhibition José Menese. 50 años de cante (50 years singing), a project carried out by students from the University of Granada, coordinated by academic Carmelo Trenado.
