'016 EJERCICIO FALLIDO PARA MUJERES', A PLAY ABOUT GENDER VIOLENCE

On 24 November at 8 p.m., the Auditorium will hold a play about domestic violence entitled “016 Ejercicio fallido para mujeres”. Free tickets can be picked up at the Cultural Information Point of the University of Alicante Museum (MIC).

25 November marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. For this purpose, Al vent and Teatro de la pesambre theatre groups will stage a play considered as a civic action project to deal with one of the biggest and more violent problems that our society is currently facing.

According to the theatre groups involved, the main topic of the play are “aggressions suffered by women in their own homes, which are increasingly spreading and becoming more violent”. The play intends to depict “the consequences of gender violence” namely “uncertainty, perplexity, incomprehension, astonishment, anxiety, loneliness, fear, disillusion and death”.

Blanca Moyà and Morgan Blasco are the actors performing this play, which is directed and written by Fulgencio M. Lax. Alicia Bernal is in charge of choreography and lighting.
