Yosuke Irie is a very experienced shakuhachi artist. He has given recitals in more than twenty countries, on occasions and venues as important as a Roman Curia ceremony, Oxford University, the residence of the president of Tahiti, and a memorial event at the G20 summit conference. He has also collaborated with orchestras in many performances and he appears regularly on the Japanese television.

He is a musician capable of interpreting traditional pieces for this instrument as well as modern pieces which he himself composes.
