"Xavier Lorenzo's Painting"
Xavier Lorenzo

"Xavier Lorenzo (Alicante, 1950) is an artist with a long and prolific career: during his over four decades as a professional artist, he has held more than 40 individual exhibitions, as well as countless collective shows.  A career devoted to painting and creating his compositions, frames and atmospheres; in short, breathing life into artwork.

This exhibition's works denote dedication and know-how, a refined technique and a deep and intimate expression of feelings and emotions".

“Artists and poets. A tribute to Joan Valls”
Collective exhibition

Authors: Roc Candela, Ximo Canet, Dori Cantó, Jesus Cees, Vicent C.V.D. Spek, Eduard Corbí, Luisa Fuster, Nuria Fuster, Eduard Galbis, Milà Gómez, Mònica Jover, Rafael Llorens Ferri, Alfons Martin del Burgo, Aurelia Masanet, Sento Masià, Antoni Miró, Jesus Mullor, David Pastor, Mauro Pastor, Mª Lluisa Pérez, Xavier Pérez Vaquer, Enric Piera, Bea Rico, Paco Sempere, Silvia Sempere, Manuel Solbes Arjona and Jordi Vila.

"Joan Valls i Jordà (1917-1989) is one of the most important and undoubtedly one of the most brilliant Valencian poets of the 20th century. His work should be known by all the citizens in this country..."

"His poetic legacy is even inspiring some plastic artists nowadays. In this exhibition, once again, literature and plastic arts walk hand in hand.  An interaction between languages that both calls for the attention that Valls' work deserves and is an excellent way for us to understand how close everyday feelings (such as solitude, amazement before the world and the attempt to rebel against injustice) are in the author's poetry."

"Instants"
Juani Ruz

"In a time when social networks and mobile phone technology have turned 80% of the population into photographers, it is fair to claim the value of a profession that is in fact an art and a vocation when carried out by those who know it best."

Juani has been close to photography since her childhood; back then, her passion for the charm of images brought her to a photography association in Alcoi, where she absorbed the knowledge shared by some amateur colleagues who finally became her teachers and revealed her the secrets of a world of endless opportunities.

From the beginning, Juani Ruz Sillero merged her vocation with journalism, where images are extraordinarily important. Photography as a means to relay stories and realities.  Ruz started her professional career at the newspaper Ciudad. After that, she moved to Información newspaper, where she is still working as a graphic journalist today.
