Sundays at the UA museum are back with even more events on offer

After the success and undeniable popularity of previous editions, the University of Alicante Museum (MUA) has organised even more activities for this term´s Sundays at the MUA (Diumenges al MUA) programme.  


All activities are free of charge and require registration prior to the event (except for the last show on the 9 June) 

Registration opens at 8 am on the Monday before each event at www.mua.ua.es/inscripciones.

A total of ten activities will be taking place from January to June, including family friendly workshops and shows from 11 am to 12:30 pm, as well as performances by the UA Theatre and Dance clubs.

  • January: 
    The programme begins on Sunday the 27 January with a educational workshop about history and art heritage called "L’arte dei Mediterrani", held by Beatriz Rico. This event is aimed at anyone over the age of 6 (25 places available);
  • February:
    On the 10 February, the MUA staff will be holding a workshop and tour titled "Lo cotidiano como material poético" on the creation of object-based poetry using household items. (25 places available. Children over the age of 8 and family members);
  • On the 24 February, Ilusia Eventos are offering a culinary art workshop called "Cocinando arte". (20 places available. Children between the ages of 6 and 12, accompanied by an adult).. 
  • March:
    On the 10 March, Photoalicante will be leading a photographic experimentation workshop, "Entre el Surrealismo y la poesía visual", on photography and collages. (20 places available. Children over the age of 6, accompanied by an adult);

    and on the 24, Agencia Creativa will be holding an artistic workshop called “Personas fantásticas” that combines games and contemplation. (20 places available. Children between the ages of 5 and 12). 
  • Abril:
    On the 7 April, Va de Cuentos will be leading a workshop on magical, progressive and fictional books called "Alicia, el mensaje y el conejo". (20 places available. Children between the ages of 4 and 12, accompanied by an adult); 

    and on the 14, Habitando voy and Sen Platform have organised a workshop that combines sensory experimentation and architecture, titled "Sentir la Arquitectura". (35 places available. Children between the ages of 5 to 11, accompanied by an adult). 
  • May:

    On the 12 May, Colectivo OZ will be holding a mural painting workshop called "Proyecto identidades". (50 places available. Children from the age of 9);

    and on the 26, Yoga Cuentos are offering a family yoga session titled "Detectives en el museo” that invites us to discover the museum. Event led by Carolina Rueda (15 places available. Children between the ages of 4 and 9, accompanied by an adult).

  • June:
    Finally, on the 9 June, “Al cor del MUA”, a theatrical play and dance recital organised by the teaching staff of the UA thetre and dance clubs will be closing the programme. This event is free for all ages
